Naval Engineer – repair solutions and technical planning for ships and structures

Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute ship repair projects (cargo holds, cranes, piping, tanks, etc.).
Conduct inspections, diagnose failures, and propose corrective and preventive solutions.
Oversee anchor and chain maintenance, including testing, replacements, and certification support.
Supervise welding, steel renewals, and structural reinforcement in compliance with class standards.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and repair schedules for clients and surveyors.
Collaborate with divers, technicians, and subcontractors during complex operations.
Ensure compliance with IMO, IACS, P&I, and Port State Control requirements.
Qualifications
We’re seeking a results-oriented engineer with strong maritime and mechanical expertise.
Bachelor’s degree in Naval Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
3+ years of experience in ship repair, drydocking, or afloat maintenance.
Knowledge of anchor and chain systems, hull structures, and corrosion control.
Familiarity with welding codes (AWS D3.6M, ABS, DNV, BV standards).
Strong skills in repair planning, budgeting, and project execution.
Fluent Portuguese and English (Spanish is a plus).
Problem-solving mindset and ability to lead teams in high-pressure environments.
